We are eager to enter the tenth year offering the Eagle Eye Summer Institute here after the enthusiasm of young adults filled last summer's program in Cincinnati. Eagle Eye is different than any other young adult retreat. Father Nathan Cromly of the Community of St. John launched Eagle Eye fifteen years ago with the idea to go as deep and as intense as we possibly can at all levels: prayer, formation, friendship, and Christian living. This program is destined to give those who want it, a taste of what it means to be truly Catholic and in love with Christ. For eight days, young adults, already strong in the understanding and practice of their faith, challenge themselves to a deeper appreciation and awareness of that faith. The location was selected to meet the needs of young adults in a wide geographic area, not just limited to Ohio. Our Institute begins on Saturday, August 4th, with an invigorating outdoor experience. After a two day hiking adventure at Natural Bridge State Park near Kentucky's Red River Gorge, we will continue our journey at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center in Cincinnati, Ohio through Sunday, August 12. This glorious retreat center previously served as a seminary for the diocese. Here we will focus our studies on understanding the existence of God. The young adult participants will be led in Philosophy and Theology classes by religious from the Community of St. John, along with holy Mass, prayer, adoration, recreation and quiet time as part of the daily schedule.
